Ode to Drew Gooden’s Hair - Gooden Explains His ‘Duck Tail’ Hair Cut

Some people simply aren’t made for HDTV - sorry Carlos Boozer.
But HD does wonders for Drew Gooden and his funky hair. You can see below - but all season long, Gooden has shaved his head and had a ‘reverse’ goatee or soul patch… a huge square of hair on his neck. I’ve wondered what the hell that was and what kind of bet he lost - but I finally found an explanation from Gooden himself.
Gooden says the hair style is a “duck tail” and says it is the height of fashion in his hometown Oakland.
I will say that I live in San Jose (40 minutes from Oakland) and have NEVER seen a duck tail hair cut other than on Gooden.

Gooden may call that mess a “Duck Tail” only it is NO WHERE close to the “duck tail” hair style which was popular in the 1950’s.
