Glen Big Baby Davis Loves the Way he Looks in Celtics Green
Reports out of Boston Celtics camp are that Glen Big Baby Davis is quite fond of himself and the way he looks in Celtic green. According to sources, Big Baby just can’t stop staring at himself in on-court mirrors during practice - and I’ve been to the Celtics training facilities… and the mirrors aren’t so enormous that I found myself staring or distracted. Then again, I weigh less than 400 pounds.
But it might be unfair to call Big Baby narcissistic because logic could explain:
* Big Baby Davis weighs a boatload
* Big Baby by all unpublished accounts has the best peripheral vision in the NBA
* Therefore, there is a lot of green reflection in the mirror and his exceptional eyes get distracted
* After a short glimpse, it is easy to be enamored with that physique
* So the staring begins and continues
It hasn’t escaped the notice of observers at Celtics [team stats] practices that Glen Davis gazes into the large mirror at the end of the gym floor during nearly every break in the action.
“He’s got a lot of bad habits we need to work on,” said assistant coach Clifford Ray with a smile.
“It’s just the Celtics jersey,” Davis said. “I like seeing it and seeing me in it. I did the same thing when we had the press conference. I kept looking at the Celtics jersey.” . . .
