Amanda Beard’s Playboy appearance had the sports world running to the local magazine rack (we of course did not partake) - now Serena Williams will be posing naked in Jane Magazine.
Serena Williams, (born September 26, 1981) is an American former World No. 1 ranked female tennis player who has won eight Grand Slam singles titles and an Olympic gold medal in women’s doubles. She also, along with sister Venus, have been a sex object to some for a while now - such as Jamie Foxx who sang a love song to here during the ESPYs (I want to be Your Tennis Ball):

It is not enough to satisfy the people who wanted her naked picture for any purpose. An amazing figure like her shoud be given full explored. At least this picture should have focused on her big round ass. She is very sexy when she plays rather than this photo.

I am very disappointed that Serena has decided to pose nude. I don’t know why she has a desire to do this. Her tennis/clothing line has already gotten her lots of well deserved attention. God has gifted her as a very talented tennis player and she has become a role model for women all over the world. I can’t imagine that her parents are supportive of this decision. And I know that God isn’t being honored in this decision.

Now I’m thinking what to tell my children,for yrs I’ve been teaching them to follow the footsteps of williams sisters and every time they see these two girls they cheer and they like them as African American role model.But due to my african and religious believes I’ve to think very deeply,it’s so disturbing.Serena should know she’s not only American,she’s African too where our Culture diiffer from the west.

This is the first time I have commented on any of these blogs. I had to say something in defense of Serena williams. This women is not a child,her decisions in life from the time she turned 13 years old is solely her’s to be held accountable for in the eyes of god. And when god created us. He did not include in the womb clothing. The naked body has been taken so far out of it’s contents. It has been made into this harmful,shameful figure. We need to start teaching our young to embrace their bodies,and certain area’s of their bodies as a whole unit, not this part is good,but this part here,here,and here are bad. Mystery is what promotes mischief. Lets make nudity the norm. Then so many won’t be so amazed when they do see it. It would become as simple as a tree.

Sorry Serena, I’m disappointed . Your decision to pose “nude” is immature.
You are a geat Tennis player with so many accomplishments, this posing “nude”
is just “degrading yourself”. What happened to “role model?’ I guess posing
nude is more important to you than being admired & looked up to by millions
of boys, girls, women & men. Down the line, when you have children, “what will you tell them?” Mother was going through a “phrase” and this was just
something I “needed & wanted” to do. What a negative adage to add to your
legacy as one of the “greatest” Tennis Players of all time. I was at the Tennis
match you (Serena) and Venus gave in New Orleans at the Hornets Basketball
Sports Arena for the Ronald McDonald Benefit along with my grandkids, sister
& son. I was able to get some great pictures of you & Venus. I also gave you
two pairs of Carnival Beads from my grandkids. We love you, but I sure wish
you would not have done this “posing nude thing”. What a “BAD,BAD decision?

I use to like tennis until these two came along. Man those Williams sisters are so UGLY! When I 1st heard she was going to pose nude all I could picture was a gorilla thats had all of it’s hair shaved off. The only other woman more ugly than these sisters is their mother. Nasty nasty nasty.

To all of the closed-minded people of the world, this is art. Serena is undeniably an Ebony Beauty. There is nothing pornographic about this pose. It is tasteful and artistic in every way. All of you who are hating on this young lady seemed to have forgotten one thing, just like you have a choice to like or not like, Serena had a choice to pose or not pose. She chose to pose for this piece and I commend her. If you don’t like it, keep moving! I have always rooted for the Williams sisters. I too, believe that they have been good role models for ALL young women… No matter the race, unless you just got off the boat, you are an american… The picture is neither riske, pornographic or nasty. It is artfully done and with class. It seems to me you can see almost as much on the court in her outfits as what you can here. Beautiful body Serena. Good luck this week…
