Get to Know Ryan Mallett - Michigan’s Replacement for Chad Henne Against Notre Dame
The battle of futility takes place this Saturday as Michigan faces Notre Dame. Vegas says the ND is 7.5 points more futile than Michigan… now that is pathetic…. particularly considering that Michigan will be starting freshman quarterback Ryan Mallett in pace of injured qb Chad Henne.
If you aren’t familiar with Ryan Mallett - don’t worry because RyanMallett.org has plenty of embarrassing information certain to give you the confidence to lay the 7.5 points in his favor.
What’s better - his parent’s photoshop’d picture of him of the self written ’scouting report’?!

Ryan Mallett is a big, physical pocket passer with great size and arm strength. He reminds us of former Michigan QB John Navarre in terms of build and physical tools.
Ryan Mallett is a huge quarterback prospect with a cannon arm. He’s very strong in the pocket and is a load for defensive linemen. Ryan Mallett size allows him to shake off would-be sacks and his strong arm and release allow him to put the ball in tight spaces…Ryan Mallett is at his best in a shotgun offense and needs to continue to work on his feet and drops, but he has excellent ball skills and sells fakes well.
Ryan Mallett probably the strongest arm and most velocity of any high school QB in the nation.

Whatever his “scouting report” may say, he was the #2 ranked QB from his recruiting class, second only to Clausen.
But of course, he will wildly underachieve and might possibly regress whilst under the tutelage of the inestimable Lloyd and Co.
