Florida State Receiver Preston Parker Arrested on Drug, Weapons Charges

Last year’s Florida State MVP Preston Parker was arrested early Tuesday morning in Palm Beach County for carrying a concealed .45-caliber handgun and possessing less than 20 grams of marijuana.
At last report, Parker was being held on $5,000 bail. FSU Athletic Director Randy Spetman released the following statement:
“We are aware of Preston’s arrest and are gathering the facts of the situation. We have an Athletics Code of Conduct/Discipline Policy in place for all student-athletes and once we’ve thoroughly reviewed the details of the incident, we will handle the situation according to that policy.”
Parker led the Seminoles last year with 62 receptions and 1513 all-purpose yards.
Bobby Bowden had no idea he was even on the team.
