Cowboys Trade Akin Ayodele, Anthony Fasano to Dolphins for 4th Round Pick
Bill Parcells enjoys wheeling and dealing around draft time. He also enjoys picking players and coaches from his old teams. He got to do both last night, by completing a trade to send a 4th round pick to Dallas in exchange for LB Akin Ayodele and TE Anthony Fasano.
Ayodele was expected to lose his starting job in Dallas after the signing of former Dolphins All-Pro Zach Thomas, while Fasano was basically buried behind All-Pro Jason Witten. Dallas’s acquisition of this extra draft pick is sure to fuel speculation that they want to move up in Saturday’s draft, perhaps high enough to pick Arkansas RB Darren McFadden, whom Jerry Jones has steadfastly denied having any interst in.
