Celtics Finally Get Something from Ray Allen - Close Out Cavs in 7
Ray Allen spent most of the Celtics-Cavaliers series doing precisely nothing. The same held true in Game 7…until there were 18 seconds left in the game, and Allen stepped to the free throw line with a chance to extend Boston’s 3 point lead.
Allen may not be good for much, but he can still make a free throw. He canned a pair in this case, giving the Celtics a five point advantage.
That would prove plenty for Boston, who survived almost giving back a 10 point halftime lead to down the Cavs, ending a hard-fought 7 game series.
The Celtics have remained consistent throughout the playoffs…they win every game at home and lose every game on the road. If the trend holds through the rest of the post-season, the Celtics will be champions, since they have home-court to the end. If they should, for example, drop a home game against the Pistons and need to get one back in Detroit…they will be in a heap o’ trouble.
