Charles Barkley is a Dead-Beat
Charles Barkley claims he has paid off the $400,000 he owed Wynn Las Vegas. This is news to the Las Vegas district attorney who claims he has not yet seen the check, nor the fee Charles owes the DA office’s bad check unit.
“There’s no record of him having paid the Wynn, and he certainly has not paid the district attorney’s office,” DA Bernie Zadrowski said.
If Charles fails to pay back the debt he will be subject to criminal prosecution. For his part, Barkley claims to have not only coughed up the money, but also given up gambling for the foreseeable future.
I can’t wait for the episode of Cops where the police knock on the door of Chuck’s trailer and he comes out in his soiled shirt all dazed with the cops’ lights in his eyes and his woman in her bathrobe all wild-haired and screaming and her blackened meth-teeth and a terrified kid clinging to her hip.
