Michael Strahan Retires
michael strahan, owner of a Super Bowl ring and a tainted single-season sack record, has decided to retire according to reports.
Strahan had been pulling the old Favre act, making everyone wonder if he would return for another season. Appropriate that he would emulate Favre given that it was Mr. Favre’s slide-job that gave him the single-season sack record a few years ago. Now Strahan has elected to copy Favre in one last important way…by quitting.
“It was important that my teammates knew which way I was going before they got on the field to start the work to defend our title,” Strahan told FoxSports.com. “It’s time. I’m done.”
Strahan leaves with 141 1/2 sacks and 7 Pro Bowl appearances. Weep not for the giants though…they will still have a dominating defensive line even without Mr. Strahan’s services.
