Baseball Just Says No To Barry Bonds

Nobody wants to play baseball with Barry Bonds, says Jeff Borris, the man paid to handle Bonds’ business affairs. According to CBC Sports, Bonds has twiddled his (very strong) thumbs since Oct. 30 despite rumors of secret workouts with the Boston Red Sox and interest from the Arizona Diamondbacks and the New York Mets.
Of course, is that an offer of Bonds’ service for the league minimum to any taker, or an offer to a few select teams to hire him for $28 million? No matter how Bonds and Borris do the math, one thing is clear: Being charged with 14 counts of lying and one count of obstruction of justice will put the brakes on your baseball career.
