Jim Brown played lacrosse…so why can’t Randy Moss?

Christian Haggerty, a lacrosse player at the University of Massachusetts, has been charged with multiple offenses after taking part in a fight at an off-campus party on Feb. 1.

Haggerty, a 19-year-old sophomore, was part of a group of men who used lacrosse sticks, baseball bats and bottles during the fight. Haggerty was arrested Friday and charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon - his shod foot (if it had been bare he’d be okay) - aggravated assault and battery and breaking and entering (he got his money’s worth).

Haggerty will be arraigned Friday. He was, not surprisingly, among eight team members suspended for their role in the melee.

I don’t want to get all racially inflammatory here…but what is it with these white-boy lacrosse players all trying to prove how hard-core they are? Messing with strippers. Getting in fights. What, do they think acting like thugs will make people forget they’re all a bunch of spoiled lily-white suburban jag-offs? Grow the hell up, over-privileged East Coast lacrosse wankers.
